Lauki ke kofte

Lauki ke kofte is a Indian dish which is loved by most of Indian because Indians loves spicy food. It is a recipe of onion and tomato gravy with kofta made of grated lauki. It can eaten in different ways , you can eat only kofta as a starter with ketchup or you can add gravy and eat it as a sabji with roti and rice.

INGREDIENT

500g grated bottleguard (lauki)
1 cup besan
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric
1/2 carom seed (ajwain)
1 cup onion
1/2 tomato
2 green chilli
1 tsp cumin seed(jeera)
Oil

INSTRUCTION

1. Wash the Lauki well , and grate it. And don't remove the Access water.
2. Add 1 cup besan , add salt to taste , 1/4 red chilli powder , a pinch of turmeric and mix it well and make it as a thick batter.
3. Now place a pan on the gas stove and put oil into that and heat it for 3-4min.
4. Take a ball size portion of the batter and put into in oil and make golden brown on the both side of  kofta and make all the kofta like this.
5. Now took another pan and add 2-3 tsp of oil or 1tsp butter , add jeera , 1 cup chopped onions , 1/2 cup tomato and cook it for 2 min.
6.  After that add salt to taste , 1/3 tsp red chilli powder and 1/4 tsp turmeric and cook it for 2-3 min on low flame and make it a thick gravy.
7. Now add kofta in the gravy ,  add amchur and sprinkle kasuri methi on the top of that.
8. Your lauki ke kofte is ready to serve. Enjoy it with roti or rice.
