Chole Poori Recipe

Chole puri is a dish made in Northern India. Chole puri can be served as a meal for lunch or dinner. I  personally love chole puri and i hope you will too love it. In this recipe i used wheat flour for puris instead of maida.

FOR CHOLE-

INGREDIENT

1 cup chole (chickpeas)
1 cup onion
3 tsp oil
1 cup tomato
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp tsp red chilli powder
1/2 turmeric (haldi)
1/2 tsp chana masala
1 tsp cumin seed (jeera)
1/2 amchur (optional)
1 teabag

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Soak the chole overnight.
2. Boil the chole with 3* water for 7-8 minutes (3 whistle) and do not waste the water used to boil chole because it will use in make sabji.
3. Took out the pan or cooker and place it on gas stove on high flame.
4. Add 3 tsp oil , 1 tsp cumin seeds , 1 cup finely chopped onion and tomato.
5. Add 1tsp ginger garlic paste , 1-2 green chilli and cook it for 4-5 min.
6. Now add 1/2 tsp red chilli powder , 1/2 tsp turmeric and salt to taste and 1/2 cup water and cook it for another 2 min.
7. After than put the boiled chole in the cooker  , add the teabag and the water used to boil the chole. Cook it for 5-7 min (2 whistle for cooker).
8. Now your chole is ready . Add 1/2 tsp amchur. Your chole is ready.

FOR PURI

INGREDIENT

1 cup wheat flour
1/4 tsp salt
2 cup oil

1 tsp carom seeds (ajwain)

INSTRUCTION

1. Take 1 cup wheat flour , add 1/4 tsp salt , 1/4 carom seed put in  a bowl and mix it all.
2. Then add 1 tsp oil and  pour 1/4 water and make it a stiff dough. Sprinkle more water if needed.
3. After making the dough , drizzle some oil on hand and rub it on hand.
4. Take a roti size rough and it as a roti.
5. Now put the pan on gas stove and put 2 cup oil in a pan.
6. Heat the oil for about 5 min.
7. Check the oil is heated or not by putting a pinch of dough. If the oil is hoy , dough rises immediately.
8. Now slightly put the poori in the oil.
9. Press the gently down in the oil. Do not press hard unless poori get holes and do not puff.
10. Now , flip the poori to another side and fry until it become crisp and golden.
11. Your poori is ready to serve with delicious chole.
